Importance of School Attendance

May 5, 2025,

Dear WHS Students and Families,

As we near the end of the 25-26 school year I'd like to remind you how important continued on-time school attendance and commitment to learning is to your overall success. Seniors have less that two weeks until internship, we ask you to finish strong and respectfully. This means attending class when you are supposed to and understanding the hardwork that goes into teachers preparing lessons and continuing their learning plans for you.

Underclassmen, it can be easy to get caught up in the spring fever. We ask you to continue to attend to your assignments, show up to class on time, and finish strong. We've had a great year so far and an awesome Pep Rally last Friday. Let's continue our good work, end strong, and maintain positive relationships, as we close out the 25-26 school year.

Students taking AP Exams may choose to only attend school for the AP test they have scheduled that day. However, we encourage students to attend review sessions for AP classes leading up to their exam. Families, check in with your students this week to ensure they have a solid plan to end the year strong, and continue to exhibit the positive values we have come to know in our WHS students. We thank you for your continued partnership in supporting the high standards we have for our students.

Kindly,

Meghan Conetta
